Bull Canyon ATV Trail

Bull Canyon ATV Trail Professional Review and Guide

"A fun place to ride with many undulations and narrow, twisting turns. Explore several interesting side canyons. Tremendous view from the bottom of Gemini Bridges. Important: Park at turnaround area (Waypoint 05) and hike short distance to arches.

An easy mix of narrow, rocky wash bottoms and sandy hills. As you approach the ends of side canyons, the routes become more difficult. The first side canyon described splits and ends on narrow shelf roads where it is very difficult to turn around."

Did this trail today in a rented 07 Jeep Rubicon today. Even though I hauled two handa atv's AND A HOT OFF THE TRUCK 08 POLARIS RZR all the way from Iowa. Why, you ask? Cause it's a little warm down in these parts right now and the jeep had AC. And it's cool to drive fast,as well as sit in. Don't worry we have ridden the rzr in 5 states this week. Moab is Mecca and as with all the trails here, the veiws are eye candy. The thing I found that stood out on Bull canyon was a spring near the end where you need to walk on to the lower veiw of gemini bridges. (WE DIDN'T WALK AS MY TENNIS SHOES WERE STICKING TO THE ROCKS) However, this spring created a few damp stretches and the ocasional puddle for 1 or 2 hundred feet along the narrow draw before the relentless heat sucked it up. Along this spot if you shut down and sit in the shade some where. You will be treated to 1000 times more life of every kind than you will see out in the open. All kinds of birds, incects, lizzards and all sorts of little hearty creatures that you may not see in your back yard. Actualy my shoes didn't stick there it was a little cooler in that little draw. Only about a buck instead of the 104 or so out in the open. So stop and smell the roses, or what the hell ever that stuff is that grows around the old spring there. The drive back is in fact quite narrow for a jeep from the turn around highlighted by the fact that my thirteen year old son drove on the way back. But he didn't put a scratch on it. So I would say any atv should have no problems at all. Do walk down the path to the bridges. Even if it's hot. We had just seen the top veiw the day b4 in the rzr and in a moment of weakness we pussed out. It's a hoot out here, and if you're reading this at home thinking is it worth the haul out here. Yes it is!! Quit your job, sell the wife and get on the road. Bring lot's of watter!!
