The Heber Valley Ramble is a 20.5-mile ride that combines a 2-mile out-and-back segment with a 16-mile loop through Heber Valley. The ride loops through Midway, Heber City, Daniel, and Charleston in this “Switzerland of the West.” The terrain is never flat but features mostly gradual ascents and descents, and a few short climbs. Elevations range from 5,425 feet in Charleston to 5,815 feet southeast of Heber City. The ride takes place on state highways, city streets, and county roads, all having good surfaces. A bike path adjacent one state highway segment is an alternative to riding on that highway’s shoulder.
