Red Reef at Red Cliffs

Red Reef at Red Cliffs Professional Review and Guide

"This hike is supershort, very easy, and tons of fun. You and your dog will be in red rock country exploring a scenic canyon right off the interstate. It’s a mini-Zion! It’s also home to snakes and prickly plants, so keep your dog leashed. The area is prone to flash flooding so be sure to check the weather forecast before attempting this hike."

We did a quick road trip with the family to Utah from California one weekend. After a leaving Zion National Park a little disappointed due to the overcrowded areas we hit Red Cliffs Campground in the Red Cliffs Preserve. The hike on Red Reef Trail was amazing. The views were breathtaking and the trail was easy enough for all the kiddos. And the best part was it was away from the crowds of Zion.
