Deadman Lake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Although Deadman Lake lies in unsheltered, windy terrain, it gets frequent visits from Scouts. A few fair campsites are found along the south shore, but horse pasture is a scarce commodity. Three other lakes reside near the head of Dry Fork Creek. From Deadman, these lakes are 1.5 to 5 miles away.
Deadman Lake can be reached from several access points, but the trail from Blanchett Park is the most feasible. From Paradise Park, go 4.0 miles up the four-wheel-drive road to Blanchett Park at the end of the road. Deadman Lake is 5.0 miles up a good trail following Dry Fork Creek. The trail splits in two directions upon reaching the lake. The east trail ventures over Gabbro Pass and into Lakeshore Basin; the west trail disperses into Whiterocks, Beaver Creek, and Carter Creek Drainages."
