Koosharem Reservoir Professional Review and Guide
"This shallow but fertile reservoir grows fish fast, but it is frequently overrun with nongame fish and has been chemically treated many times throughout the years. To deal with the rough fish, wildlife officials have planted Bear Lake cutthroat, an aggressive predator. Key Species: Rainbow trout and Bear Lake cutthroat trout.Fishing with bait on the bottom is good from the dam and on the west shore. Dark-colored flies like woolly buggers can be effective during the ice-off period and in the fall. Ice fishing is best soon after the reservoir is safe. Use small jigs and ice flies tipped with salmon eggs or Power Bait."
