Kaysville Pond Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"As with other urban fisheries across the state, locals know the hatchery truck schedule for the Kaysville Pond. There are not many bluegill or bass here, but officials sure hear about it when anglers catch warm-water species. Key Species: Rainbow trout, channel catfish, bluegill, green sunfish, and largemouth bass.
Fishing Index: Bait is the best method for trout. Salmon eggs and Power Bait are especially effective. Catfish will hit night crawlers and other smelly baits. Bass are commonly caught with night crawlers, but are more apt to hit spinnerbaits, topwater lures, and plastic baits. The bluegill and sunfish like small jigs or night crawlers fished 3 to 6 feet below a bobber."
