Jordan Lake

Jordan Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Considering the heavy usage thrown upon this area, Naturalist Basin remains remarkably clean. Thoughtful hikers and the forest service deserve kudos for keeping this beautiful wilderness free of debris and litter. To ensure that this mountain range remains unscarred, fire restrictions are in effect throughout Naturalist Basin.

In scenic timbered terrain, a steep boulder slope, pickled with pine trees on the northwest side, identifies Jordan Lake. Excellent posted campsites are located west of the lake. Other camping areas can be found along the east side of the outlet. This wide outlet is composed of several small ponds connected by a meandering stream. A small source of spring water can be found trickling into the northwest side of the lake."
