"The Jordan Park Ramble is a 27.1-mile out-and-back ride that uses the Jordan River Parkway and connecting paths over 80 percent of the length. A 10-mile loop that, in part, uses city streets serves as the turnaround. The ride starts and finishes in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City, at Jordan Park adjacent the International Peace Gardens. The route is mostly flat, except for a few overpasses and underpasses, and some minor undulations on city streets. The elevation varies from 4,225 feet along the Jordan River in Salt Lake City to 4,365 feet on 1300 West in Taylorsville. Plenty of birds appear and nest along the river, including blackbirds, bluebirds, chickadees, cormorants, crows, doves, ducks, eagles, egrets, finches, flycatchers, gnatcatchers, geese, grebes, gulls, hawks, herons, hummingbirds, ibises, mallards, meadowlarks, orioles, osprey (rare), owls, pelicans, pheasants, quail, ravens, snipes, sparrows, swallows, teals, terns, thrushes, vultures, warblers, wrens, and (deep breath) others."
