JEM Trail

J.E.M. Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This is a a long, fun singletrack descent with a scenic canyon rim ride as a treat at the end. This fine trail was named for the initials of Jon, Ellen, and Mike, who developed it. There are some drop offs toward the end of the ride.

This is not a good choice right after a rain—allow a couple of days for the tread to dry. Tread: 6.1 miles on singletrack; 4.4 miles on doubletrack; 2.2 miles on maintained dirt road."

I did JEM Trail, a round trip 10 mile (approx what I did) dirt single-track known for putting a smile on people’s faces. After working hard riding slick rock in the morning, the afternoon was a blast! We started at the bottom, climbing several hills and rock gardens. I EARNED the magnificent, fast, rollercoaster, descent!! It was a phenomenal experience that put a permanent smile on my face!

Fun very fun downhill. Start at trailhead below Gooseberry Mesa and go from there. Optional turnoff takes you back toward Hurricane.
