Gooseberry Slickrock Trail

Gooseberry Slickrock Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Despite its relative anonymity, this ride is to the St. George region what the Slickrock Bike Trail is to Moab. Staying to the “main” route is an exercise in navigational skills and/or frustration. Keep in mind that the large green dots mark the main trail, small green dots mark side loops, and yellow paint marks extremely technical sections.

Also watch for cairns. If you can find a local to accompany you, so much the better; check at the bike shops listed below for possible companions. If you can’t, you probably won’t take advantage of all the great riding, but you’ll still have fun. Just keep some paint in sight. If you feel as though you’re getting lost, you can always turn around and retrace your tracks as best you can. General location: Just southwest of Zion National Park."

This was a great trail. Did South Rim and Yellow trail. Had a new challenge around every corner lots of fun with great views. Easier to get to from Hurricane than from Springdale. Enjoy!
This is the most fun I've ever had on a bicycle. I never thought anything would compare with a powder day skiing, this is as much fun! Trails vary from intermediate to expert. The road down the mesas center is easy. Flat pedals are helpful here as stunts come at you so fast being unclipped makes the next several stunts tough. Bash guard is a good idea. This place makes you a better rider. The Yellow Trail and South Rim are the toughest but they ALL are great. Hidden canyon is my favorite. Ride it both ways. A MUST RIDE before you die. Like it better than Slickrock in Moab. Simply mountain bike heaven and you can camp on the mesa. Best in spring and fall. 20 miles of trails now. There is a bathroom on the mesa but no water.
