Causey Reservoir

Causey Reservoir Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Settled in a scenic area near the top of the South Fork of Ogden Canyon, Causey has long been popular with Ogden-area anglers. Camping facilities are located down the canyon. Canoe enthusiasts like exploring the small arms of this reservoir.

This reservoir was once managed as a rainbow trout fishery, but the increasing spread of whirling disease in this part of Utah has forced biologists to make changes. The primary species now are splake and kokanee salmon, though Causey seems to yield at least one or two trophy-size brown trout each
year."
