Swett Canyon

Swett Canyon Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A desert canyon hike to Hoskinnini Monument and Lake Powell. The hike through the Little Rockies, southeast of the Henry Mountains, features spectacular slickrock geology and solitude.

The Little Rockies area, part of a 38,700-acre BLM wilderness study area tucked away in Utah’s slickrock country, offers an excellent backpacking experience. The two main peaks, Mount Holmes (7,930 feet) and Mount Ellsworth (8,235 feet), twist and spire 3,000 feet above the valley floor to form a rugged outline against the desert sky."
