Temple Mountain Trail

Temple Mountain Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Over the course of the first 14.7 miles, you pass the turnoffs to Swasey’s Cabin Trail, Reds Canyon Trail, and Temple Wash and Mining Camp Trail. Special Attractions: Backbone for many other 4WD trails in the area; The scenic, white Temple Mountain set against the deep red of the surrounding countryside; Access to numerous backcountry campsites. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
