Wide Hollow Reservoir Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This reservoir, just west of Escalante on the edge of the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, is part of Escalante State Park. A boat ramp, restrooms with showers, covered picnic tables, and plenty of grass coupled with an interesting hiking trail make this a popular camping area.
Some even enjoy swimming in the cool water here. In the spring, the shallow wetlands on the edge of the reservoir are filled with migrating birds, including ospreys that show up each year around Easter. Key Species: Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and bluegill."
