Corn Creek Road

Corn Creek Road Professional Review and Guide

"This graded route leaves Escalante Summit Trail (or FR 17, Main Canyon Road) 6.6 miles west of Utah 12. It winds south and rejoins Utah 12 about 12 miles west of Escalante. The trail runs along Corn Creek for 2 miles before climbing up along the eastern flank of the Escalante Mountains. There are striking views to the west of the red-and-white striated Table Cliffs, part of the promontory leading down to Powell Point.

Special Attractions: Easy, scenic route with spectacular views over Table Cliffs; Backcountry alternative route to Utah 12. This trail is graded dirt but suitable for a normal passenger vehicle. It usually has gentle grades, is fairly wide, and has very shallow water crossings (if any)."
