Bull Creek PassBack Country Byway

Bull Creek PassBack Country Byway Professional Review and Guide

"A 68-mile Type III road that loops through the Henry Mountains in central Utah, providing scenic views of the nearby canyon country. The Bull Creek Pass Back Country Byway makes a 68-mile loop that traverses the rugged and remote Henry Mountains. Spectacular views of canyons, cliffs, buttes, badlands, alpine peaks, and the surrounding canyonlands unfold from the byway as it climbs 5,000 feet over the mountains. The road is single-lane with a dirt surface.

It has many steep grades and rough sections. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is strongly advised for traveling the entire byway. A high-clearance truck can make the route, but it will be abused. The road is impassable during the winter and after heavy rain. Special Attractions: Little Egypt Geologic Site, Bull Creek Pass, Mt. Ellen, Stevens Narrows, The Horn, buffalo herd, hiking, rock climbing, hunting, wildlife observation, camping, spectacular views. This eTrail is a complete description of a scenic drive with a route map and information on the best travel seasons, interesting sites, recreation opportunities, camping locations, and much more."
