Upper Lake Fork

Upper Lake Fork Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The upper regions of the Lake Fork Drainage display some of the finest scenery in the High Uintas. From one pass to another, grand panoramas seem to enchant the mind. Red Knob Pass grants access to two other beautiful drainages, while Squaw and Porcupine Passes branch into others.

To say the least, this area is a gold mine for photographers. However, the Lake Fork Trail from Moon Lake is not as seductive as it winds through a 14-mile corridor of tall standing pines. Not much else can be seen until you get to the upper basins."
