Kidney Lake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Topping out at 190 acres, Kidney Lake is one of the largest reservoirs in the High Uintas backcountry. Just try walking around it, and you’ll become a believer. Because of its “kidney” shape, you don’t really see all of it at any one time, so it is even bigger than it looks.
From Lake Fork trailhead, the trail is wide and clear for the first few miles, following Brown Duck Creek on the west side of Round Mountain. After about 7.0 miles, there is a trail junction with the trail going to Clements Reservoir. Shortly after this junction, the trail passes Brown Duck Lake and in 1.0 mile, Island Lake (yes, another one)."
