Swasey Peak

Swasey Peak Professional Review and Guide

"A day hike or backpack in the Great Basin region of the House Range with spectacular views of the Great Basin in Utah and Nevada. The area also features a small population of bristlecone pine. At 9,669 feet, Swasey Peak is the highest point in the House Range.

From the top, after an off-trail, 1,700-foot climb, you’ll have a panoramic view northwest to the Deep Creeks, northeast to Whirlwind Valley and Mount Nebo, southeast to the Tushar Mountains and 12,169-foot Delano Peak, south to the dry Sevier Lake, and west across Tule Valley to the Confusion Range. In addition, Wheeler and Pilot Peaks and Mount Moriah are visible in Nevada."
