Lost Creek Reservoir Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Lost Creek is a 365-surface-acre reservoir perfect for boating, fishing, and water sports. It is fished primarily by anglers from the Ogden Valley. Check road conditions before visiting the park in winter.
Rainbow trout and Bear Lake cutthroat fishing is good throughout the year. In the spring, trout baits such as salmon eggs, night crawlers, and Power Bait work well around the inlet. Casting Rapalas, spinners, and spoons in the spring and fall when the fish are not too deep can provide fast fishing. Trolling with Rapalas, flatfish, and spoons is best in the summer months. Ice fishing is most productive soon after the reservoir freezes. Jig for cutthroat with spoons and plastic baits tipped with wax worm or night crawler. Rainbows prefer ice flies or small jigs tipped with Power Bait or salmon eggs, but both species can be caught with either method."
