Price River

Price River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Some people call the river from Scofield Reservoir Dam the Price River; others call it Lower Fish Creek. Because the river below the White confluence is much different than the special-regulation stream above it, we have distinguished the two.

The Price is often high and muddy. That, coupled with poor habitat conditions, makes the river one often avoided by anglers. When it isn’t high, the Price is often dewatered for irrigation. Access is another problem.

Key Species: Brown trout, cutthroat trout, and rainbow trout."
