Santa Clara River Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Santa Clara originates in Pine Valley on the west side of Pine Mountain. There is some access below Pine Valley Reservoir, but in a short distance, the Santa Clara leaves Forest Service land and runs through private land. Soon after leaving Pine Valley, the river again enters national forest.
It then flows about 8 miles to the town of Central. Access is primarily by hiking. After that, the river flows into Baker Dam Reservoir, then Gunlock Reservoir, before dumping into the Virgin River south of St. George. Key Species: Brown trout, rainbow trout, and channel catfish."
