Pine Valley Reservoir

Pine Valley Reservoir Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The draw here is the excellent camping. Pine Valley Reservoir is surrounded by about a half-dozen beautiful Dixie National Forest campgrounds. Located on the edge of Utah’s second-largest Forest Service wilderness area, this little pond gets heavy use from Las Vegas and southern Utah campers trying to escape the desert heat.

It’s surrounded by pine trees in a definite alpine setting. A commercial lodge is located nearby. This is a put-and-take fishery where the angling will only be fast if the hatchery truck has paid a recent visit. Due to the popularity of this spot, the truck visits every two weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Key Species: Rainbow trout."
