Juab County - Ibapah Peak

Juab County - Ibapah Peak Professional Review and Guide

"the Deep Creeks are a wilderness study area with Juab County’s highest peak. Ibapah Peak is 12,087 feet. The name is a Goshute word meaning “white clay water” for the fine particles in the streams.

This is a mountain range that began gathering human history with American Indians. Fremonts inhabited the Deep Creeks—in the heart of the Great Basin—followed by the Goshute. They left their mark: petroglyphs and pictographs at some canyon mouths."
