Dragon Ghost Town Trail

Dragon Ghost Town Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Although the remote Dragon Ghost Town Trail has many interesting attractions, one of its most appealing aspects is its location in the middle of nowhere. With the exception of a limited amount of mining in the region, the terrain through which the trail proceeds seems void of human influence or interference.

Special Attractions: Extremely remote region; Dragon, a historic gilsonite mining and railroad site; Connects with Rainbow and Watson Ghost Towns Trail and Book Cliffs Loop to form a route from Vernal to Green River and Moab. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
