Comb Wash Trail

Comb Wash Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This trail runs down the west side of Comb Ridge, one of the most prominent features of the region. The trail runs close to both Comb Wash and Comb Ridge for its full length. From this side, Comb Ridge is a series of cliff faces forming an impenetrable barrier to east-west travel.

Special Attractions: Comb Ridge monocline; Anasazi cliff dwellings in the area; Significant section of the Mormon Hole-in-the-Rock Expedition; Cave Towers near the north end of the trail. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
