Tushar Mountain Lakes Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Although not as popular as Boulder Mountain, fishing the lakes of the Tushar up Beaver Canyon can be just as rewarding. The lakes, often called Beaver Mountain Lakes, are reached from the town of Beaver. Key Species: Rainbow trout, brook trout, cutthroat trout, and brown trout.
Fishing Index: Besides fishing with traditional trout baits from shore, float tubing is the most popular way to fish these lakes. Stripping in small flashback bead-heads and size 14 to 16 woolly buggers in olive, brown, and black is effective. Dry fly fishing is good with dun and mosquito patterns. Maisie and Jake’s spoons are also popular. Most of the lakes are planted with catchable rainbows. Cutthroat, brown, tiger, and brook trout are also found in some waters. Anderson Meadow Reservoir, this 9-acre reservoir offers good fishing from
shore for stocked rainbows and pan-size brook trout."
