Beaver River Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The portion of the stream most anglers fish is in Beaver Canyon east of the town of Beaver. This is a beautiful canyon with an excellent fishery. The headwaters of the Beaver are near Puffer, but the river is fed by dozens of small tributaries.
There are three campgrounds in the canyon. Key Species: Brown trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and brook trout. Little Cottonwood, the lowest, has 14 sites and restrooms. Little Reservoir and Mahogany Cove are located about midcanyon. Little Reservoir has five family units and two group sites. Mahogany Cove has seven sites. The Elk Meadows Ski area is also near the head of the canyon, so the road is plowed, and it isn’t uncommon to see people fishing in the winter."
