"A three- to five-day backpack in the Rock Creek drainage on the south slope of the Uinta Mountains. Rock Creek is a vast wilderness drainage with many lakes, abundant wildflowers and wildlife, good fishing, solitude, and views, plus easy access to other areas of the High Uintas. Rock Creek drains a large region on the South Slope of the Uinta Mountains. Its deep, forested canyon offers leisurely woodland walking and good trout fishing, while its upper basins provide alpine camping and climbing, with easy access to other parts of the range via major passes and trails. Many routes can be planned from the trailhead near the Upper Stillwater Reservoir, and loop trips of three to seven days are particularly convenient." Read more
