Pine Lake Campground

Pine Lake Campground Professional Review and Guide

"Pine Lake is a day-tripper’s dream. It’s located within a few hours’ radius of two national parks, three state parks, and two national monuments, so time is the only restraint on how much exploring you can do. This high-mountain campground is the perfect place to make your home base and maximize your time in what is arguably Utah’s most sensational outdoors corridor. Pine Lake Campground isn’t located in Bryce Canyon proper, but that’s a positive. Both campgrounds in the park are actually quite nice, with new restrooms and are within walking distance to incredible hikes and vistas. But in summer the crowds there are swarming.

Aptly named for its location among spruce and towering ponderosa pine trees, Pine Lake is a cool and out-of-the-way spot in an otherwise hot and busy region of southern Utah. Most of the spots here are shaded and have good access to drinking water—a rarity among the region’s more out-of-the-way campgrounds."
