Bosque Bluffs Loop-Bosque River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This loop in the middle of Waco is easy for most anyone, and jam-packed with things to see and do. It leads from near the River Stage, along the famed Bosque Bluffs, through two popular public parks, and down the Bosque and Brazos Rivers. Spend the day on the water here, and add a little paddling to your Waco visit.

The Bosque River begins in Erath County and flows some 115 miles through hills, post oaks, and junipers to the southeast. It has four main forks: the East, North, Middle, and South. The mouth of the Bosque River is at its confluence with the Brazos River, at Cameron Park in the city of Waco. The Bosque helps form Lake Waco in McLennan County. Bosque is the Spanish word for “forest.”"
