Roses are Tyler's trademarks. Each spring, Tyler and all of east Texas show off colorful redbuds, dogwoods, azaleas, and wildflowers. Throughout the year, visitors to Tyler can also find some type of rose in bloom. This ride starts on the west side of Tyler at the Rose Garden, which houses a rose museum, rose library, and the country's largest municipal rose garden. Terrain: gently rolling terrain, a little more pronounced on the longer option. One long climb toward the end of each route, which can be avoided by shortening the ride by 5.7 miles. Road: heavy traffic on Texas 31 and Texas 64. Some traffic on FM 315 south of Chandler. Other roads are two lanes, no shoulder, light traffic.
