Burroughs Park

Burroughs Park Professional Review and Guide

"Burroughs Park is a 320-acre county park that offers 8 miles of hiking trails, a stocked fishing pond, picnic facilities, a playground accessible to disabled children, soccer and softball fields, and an elevated boardwalk.

Most of the foot and bike traffic is on the paved walkways that wind through the playgrounds and picnic areas. The hiking trails have very little activity, making them a quiet retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the other park facilities."

More Burroughs Park Professional Reviews and Guides

"Experience the solitude of trails winding through woods, with the opportunity to see many species of birds and other wildlife. Deer, armadillos, and snakes all reside here. Watch for red-bellied woodpeckers, pine warblers, and white egrets.

Circle around a three-acre fishing lake that boasts a beaver lodge. This is a good adventure for young children. This 320-acre park is located in Tomball, about 20 miles northwest of Houston."

Me and my wife Vanessa did the Coon trail yesterday and it was very nice. It was our first trail that we have done in Texas. Highly recommend it. If also has a nice playground area for the kids and a well kept lake area.
