Mesa de Anguila, Entrance Camp Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A hike down Entrance Camp Trail should be planned as part of a longer backpacking trip along the Mesa de Anguila Trail simply because Entrance Camp, like most trails that crisscross the mesa, is accessed via a single trailhead. Hikers begin at the Mesa de Anguila trailhead in Lajitas, ascend the north face of the mesa, pass over a saddle, and then, once on top of the Mesa proper, have the opportunity to select several hiking options.
Entrance Camp is just one of them. Entrance Camp hikers will typically spend the first day reaching Tinaja Blanca and then continue on the next day for an out-andback hike on the Entrance Camp Trail—or stay at Entrance Camp overnight and hike back to Tinaja Blanca on a third day."
