The Lost Mine Trail may be one of the more popular trails in Big Bend National Park, but it is also one of the more challenging. It offers some of the most spectacular views in the park. Vistas of Juniper Canyon, Chisos Basin, the East Rim, and the Sierra del Carmen reward any hiker who is willing to ascend the series of steep switchbacks. Though the hike is relatively short, bring plenty of water.
