Guadalupe River State Park

Guadalupe River State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located only 30 miles north of San Antonio and 13 miles east of Boerne, this popular and scenic park is a must-stay camping stop. Be sure to start your wilderness adventure by picking up vital supplies at the Bear Moon Bakery and Café in historic downtown Boerne.

Stop at the entrance to the Honey Creek State Natural Area. Guided tours are the only access to this pristine watershed. Scheduled at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, these tours take you into a fragile ecosystem of centuries-old cypress trees, ancient oaks, pecans, walnuts, cedar elms, and ash juniper trees, where the endangered golden-cheeked warbler finds a sheltered habitat"
