Flag Pond Loop is the best for viewing and photographing waterfowl. Viewing areas are located the entire length of the trail. Hike over gently rolling terrain through dense stands of yaupon, post oak, and hickory, and to scenic overlooks and water crossings. Mill Pond Shade Shelter, located on a hill, allows a great view of Flag Pond, a 350-acre improved wetland area that attracts thousands of waterfowl to winter here.
