San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge is open year-round for wildlife observation, hiking, photography, and fishing. Fishing is allowed in many of the open lakes within the tidelands and Cedar Lake Creek. Hunting for waterfowl is also permitted within a public hunting area and a permit-hunt area. A boat ramp at Cedar Lake Creek provides boat access to the Cedar Lake area. Canoes, kayaks, and small motorboats are welcome to launch from the ramp.
