The Mission Trail, paralleling the San Antonio River, is the hike for Texas history lovers. It’s rare to be able to hike a trail and actually see buildings that were constructed before the American Revolution. The trail linking Mission San Francisco de la Espada and Mission San Juan Capistrano provides an opportunity to not only walk where Spanish missionaries and Coahuiltecan Indians worked, but enter the buildings they used.
