See white-tailed deer on the fringes of the woodlands while hearing songbirds hidden in the trees. Linger by a creek or in the cool shade of huge live oaks that border the trail. Skirt the edges of baseball diamonds and soccer fields, and strangely enough, at times, you’ll seem almost alone in this 986-acre park, San Antonio’s largest and most popular park. Although there are 15 miles of dirt trails, including those for mountain biking and many paths made by “trail blazers,” the authorized hiking trail is asphalt, 3 miles long, and wheelchair accessible.
