Part of the Caprock Canyons Trailway, the Los Lingos Trail offers hikers a chance to cross the longest of fifty-five railroad bridges on the Trailway, a concrete trestle bridge that spans the width of Los Lingos Creek. The bridge, built with the help of a pile driver, would at first appear to be overkill considering the shallow and intermittent flow of the creek below. But during heavy rains, the creek drainage swells with raging floodwaters while the sturdily constructed bridge holds its ground.
