Mustang Island State Park

Mustang Island State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Note: This park took a hit from Hurricane Harvey, which devastated Rockport, in August 2017. Call to check on current conditions.

Named after the herds of wild mustangs that roamed this area until the late 1800s, this premier tent-camping area is located on the beach, only 20 miles from downtown Corpus Christi. As you approach the sand dunes, the RV sites are to the left in a parking lot where you cannot see the beach or the ocean but where you’ll find showers and restrooms."
