Manzanita Spring Trail

Manzanita Spring Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The 0.35- mile Manzanita Spring Trail is an out- and- back hike on a paved ADA- accessible trail that passes the historic Frijole Ranch and ends at Manzanita Spring, a spring- fed pond surrounded by tall grass.

The short trail is part of the longer Smith Spring Trail, which continues past Manzanita Spring as a rough singletrack trail. The trail and The Pinery Trail are the only handicap- accessible trails in the national park. Its paved surface is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. No shade is found on the trail, except at Frijole Ranch, so carry water and wear a hat and sunscreen on hot days."
