Devil’s Hall Trail

Devil’s Hall Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Devil’s Hall Trail, one of the best hikes in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, follows the floor of Pine Spring Canyon to Devil’s Hall, a narrow gorge walled by limestone cliffs. The 4.2- mile round- trip hike gains 548 feet and takes about three hours to hike. The first half of the trail is easy, while the second half threads up a dry streambed, scrambling over boulders and following occasional cairns that mark the route.

Do not make extra cairns along the trail. Trees line parts of the trail, providing welcome shade on warm days. Big-tooth maples, especially in the upper canyon, tint the rough land with brilliant red, orange, yellow colors in October and November."
