"This wilderness park is true to its name with heavy woods plus two creeks. The habitat provides an ideal home to birds, mammals, insects, and snakes. The opportunity to hear the songs of many bird species and observe the tracks of deer, armadillos, raccoons, and other mammals is excellent.

Butterflies, dragonflies, and mosquitoes are also present. Many wooden bridges aid in crossing gullies and streams. The nature lover, bird-watcher, or solitude seeker will enjoy this trail. This hike is suitable for families with young children."
