Cross Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"Rarely hiked and difficult to follow, the Cross Canyon Trail is for strong, experienced hikers only. Loose, rocky footing and an indistinct path require patience and good map-reading skills. Tremendous vistas and access to the Rio Grande reward those hikers who make the extra effort necessary to follow the route. The 7.0-mile one-way distance shown above is from the trailhead to the river on the left fork of the trail. The distance from the trailhead to the Mariscal Rim Trail is similar."
