Lake Jackson Wilderness Park Professional Review and Guide
"Lake Jackson Wilderness Park is bordered by Buffalo Camp Bayou and the Brazos River bottomland forest. It also parallels The Wilderness Golf Course, but you can only vaguely see the course during the hike. Primitive camping is allowed with approval, and there is one interpretive nature loop in the park. Other activities here include boating, fishing, picnicking, and bird-watching. The Gulf Coast Bird Observatory is just across the bayou from the entrance to Wilderness Park. Do not veer off onto any small paths that take you into the forest. These are not part of the park’s trail system and it is best to stay on the marked trails."
