The West 11th Street Nature Trail is a great example of what a community nature trail should be. The trail loops through more than 1,800 trees, and more than one hundred species of birds call the park home. Only 1 block square, the park served as a community park for over fifty years before the City of Houston designated this area as a city park in 2007. This is a favorite trail for nature lovers, bird-watchers, and dog walkers.
