Lake Livingston Professional Review and Guide
"About 5 miles SW of Livingston. An easy day hike through the woods of Lake Livingston State Park. Special Attractions: Lake, lush woods. The Lake Livingston trail is a nice woodland hike, although not especially wild. It passes through several of the campgrounds and developed areas. The campground makes a good overnight camp area before or after your hike. Pick up a map at the headquarters before starting your hike. Look at it, then throw it away. Actually, the map shows the trails accurately on the west side of the main north-south park road. Unfortunately, the first part of the hike, to the duck pond and beyond, has numerous errors. In particular, it doesn't show a number of confusing cross trails."
