This loop follows Brays Bayou west, on the south side of the bayou, and then returns east, on the north side of the bayou. The green space between the trail and road contains a surprising number of tree species. There are residential areas on each side of the bayou. The sides of the bayou were paved in the 1970s prior to city planners realizing natural sides do a better job. There are no restroom facilities or potable water available on the trail. There are facilities at MacGregor Park.
